I'm pretty sure I caught bugs from this place (only place that I have visited in several months). Took a lice shower twice 7 days apart and still itch 2 weeks later. I also noticed that I have eczema on my face where you rest your face on the pad with the hole. This place looks clean, but I will never return. I would have thought that Eden Prairie would have been a low risk for this type of problem. Disappointed!

Are you sure? Are you not seeing"anyone outside of the AMP world? You know, sometimes the "amateurs" do come down with various types of STDs.
I used to work with an idiot 30 years ago and he always told any of the guys heading up to the john "You might as well sit and get comfortable, crabs can jump a foot."...So I used to walk to another department and use their facilities, just in case he was infested with the little buggers.

Positive. I haven't seen or had a relationship with a woman amateur or professional since my divorce 2 years ago. This is the only mp that I went to since May. It's too bad since I had been there to see a girl called Koko a few times and always liked the service. I called in September and was told that she was on "vacation" which she had told me prior she never gets. I assume I still itch now due to after effects of poisoning my skin twice. The eczema/crustiness that appeared on my face is slowly going away with application of witch hazel and a tea tree facial wash. I'm assuming that was from bacteria on the face rest.

Let's be honest here I am surprised this doesnt happen more often. There are some nasty guys in this hobby that refuse the shower. And there are some I hear that do this because they don't like it or for cultural reasons or they simply don't want to go home smelling like soap.

Then they cover the face pad with that thin paper really that isn't going to help much if a previous customer has some skin trouble or virus. They need to scrub those between clients with alcohol in front of you so you know. Same with the table shower and the common use scrubby. Never use the same scrubby they use on everyone. Wash cloth only for me and no bars of soap. Soft soap only.

Don't just worry about stds there are nasty skin conditions you want no part of trust me. Working in It for years I can remember a time we were replacing some pcs in the lab ( they draw blood and urine samples) and I always glove up working in there even though they have plastic wash guards on the keyboards. My buddy didn't and later he touched his face for some reason the next day he had a rash. In 2 days it covered his face and spots of his body and 2 weeks to clear.

Labs look clean and sterile and have strict protocols he touched a tainted keyboad with a wash guard. We lay in a just tidy massage room frequently visited by dirty and often nasty dudes. I think I may start cleaning it myself.

Eczema isn't an STD it's an inherited skin condition so you probably have something else on your face.
As for having crabs...shave perhaps ?

That's the problem with high volume, they don't have time to properly disinfect the area between people.
Why do you think I don't go to those places for my pedicures or manicures ?
Idk about other people but I probably go through more Lysol and bleach than most hospitals.

Viking, if you have a healthcare plan that can assist with a dermatologist's consultation, I recommend seeing a specialist and obtaining an accurate diagnosis and treatment. The Dr. does NOT have to know where you contracted the ailment; simply show the symptoms and ask for diagnosis and treatment.

Thanks for the out pouring of support in my time of need. This is a great group of forum enthusiasts. Rest assured that I am inactive during my recovery. The Witch Hazel and tea tree oil skin toner are working on my complexion. I still itch a little, but I think that is due to my skin peeling.

I agree with The Rock. I always shower immediately before I go get a massage and afterward when I get home. Call me a clean freak. I prefer to establish a relationship with an atf rather than play the field since I value a proven service that is clean and professional. I have no problem with paying more for a service that pays attention to changing towels/sheets, washing in hot water and sterilizes the table between clients.
