A bust at a Fresno massage parlor has turned into an investigation of human trafficking in sex workers.

It happened at the "New China Massage Parlor" at Fresno and Gettysburg in Northeast Fresno. They arrested one of the owners, and a female employee.

Investigators believe the employee and another woman were both brought here recently from China.

Police spokesman Jeff Cardinale says such women are often promised real jobs, but then forced into prostitution. "Then when they get here they don't realize what they are getting themselves into and by that time it's too late. And they are really taken advantage of and unfortunately it looks like that was the case here. "

Police are investigating reports that there are several other women being exploited at area massage parlors.

C5532KLE what is your agenda? You take a story about trafficing at 1 spa and make 3 seperate topics under 3 different spas? Are you trying to kill business at those spas? Seems like it.
Why not ONE TOPIC? You have 3 posts and they are all this same text.

One topic for discussion is enough....

. I'm 50-50 on this discussion. Rock, you're right that he just needs to make 1 post, but include the 3 parlors. I would've put "warning". . On "trying to kill business" for these parlors, i would say, he is just trying to warn fellow mongers(like you and i)in that area and to be safe. With the 1 bust, the heat could be on in Fresno. So be safe out there hunters, "Remember it's better for the parlors to be caught, than you be caught with your pants down" .

Ok, it is 1 thing to say Spa X was busted, and the heat is on in an area, but he specifically said it was closed for human trafficing, and gave the details of the article for 1 location.
Maybe it is me, but I read that as he is taking some kind of moral issue with it and as such posted 3 times on 3 spas, which may or may actually be involved in human trafficing. He kind of lumped them all togehter as to say if 1 is doing it they are all doing it. The other types of busts (you know services for money types) are not mentioned. But to link the same text under 3 spa names LEADS people to believe all 3 spas were trafficing girls, and if there is no evidence of that at 2 of the spas he posted under, it will kill business. I personally do not want to visit the spas where the girls are forced, locked in and receive little to none of the money. So his associating the other 2 spas with human trafficing can impact their business.

Sexual activity can range from HJ's to FS. As long as there is some type of sexual act being performed, it's considered unlawful. . Now for Human trafficking, which involves a provider being taken away from their home to exploit in parlors of a sexual activity, i'm sure it is a domino effect if the business owners are eventually charged for the crime(as LE will look into that situation as they proceed with the charge of sexual activity). Still i don't think it is a moral issue, but trying to give a heads up for the hunters who live in the area. . Also he is just stating on what the LE spokesman said in a interview of what could be going on with the suspects. He did not state his own opinion, if he did then i could see a problem .

Correct. However they may want to contact you as a potential witness if it is Human Trafficing, since the girls may have said something to customer. Some areas have laws that say if you see someone who needs help and do not render the help you can be charged with a crime (remember the Sienfeld episode where they all watched someone get car jacked and they went to jail because they did not help him).

For the record, of the 3 spas this user posted about ONLY ONE of them was raided/busted/charged with human trafficing. Lets clear that up. NONE OF US HERE SUPPORT HUMAN TRAFFICING.

The Spa that was raided was New China Massage. At least that is the one I think it is. The place has shut the doors, and I called, and the number is no longer connected. Went to Wellness, and it was still open.

You're a brave man tunamunch! I'd be 10 miles clear of that place honestly. I'm just paranoid like that I guess.

Did anything feel, look of seem suspicious when u went in?
